Last week Jio 4G launched its India Ka Smartphone – Jio Phone in India. The phone will be available for purchase from Mid August. Jio Phone is in a talk in the country when it was launched at the annual meeting of Reliance. This Jio Phone will bring the 4G era in the country on a large scale. But Jio rival Airtel is not taking this so serious. And Airtel is ready to counter Jio Phone. And the plan of Airtel is not similar to Jio. Airtel doesn’t have a similar plan like to launch its own feature phone but a different plan.
Airtel Plan to Counter Jio Phone
According to Gopal Vittal, Airtel MD, and CEO, Airtel is not interested in manufacturing its own phone and will never do this in future. But Airtel plan is to meet with the 4G feature phone manufacturers and then offer the plans with those devices.
Airtel also announced its plan to launch the Airtel 4G VoLTE services in all over India by March 2018. Currently, the trial of VoLTE is running in some of the cities and once it will complete, Airtel will roll out VoLTE services in all Indian Cities. Presently Jio is the only Telecom Operator in India which is offering VoLTE services in India. Similarly, today Idea has also announced to roll out VoLTE service in India by the start of 2018.
According to the reports, Jio Phone will come with a single sim and only Jio sim can be used on Jio Phone. So other feature phone manufacturers may launch dual sim 4G feature phone in which the users can use any 4G sim. Lava 4G Feature Phone is the only feature phone available in the market. But it is expected that Micromax and Intex may join the race to launch 4G feature phone.
Lava 4G Feature Phone and its Specifications
In India Lava is the only brand who have a 4G feature phone in the market. Jio will start shipping Jio Phone on August 15. Talking about the specifications of Lava 4G Connect M1 is a 4G phone. it comes with the 2.40-inch display. The phone comes with 1.2GHz quad-core processor and there is a 512MB RAM in the phone. The phone comes with 4GB of internal storage and it can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. There is a 0.3-megapixel camera too on Lava 4G Feature phone. The phone has a battery of 1750mAh and supports 4G, Wifi, Bluetooth, FM, and 3G.
