JOSAA 2017 Second Round of Seat Allotment Announced | Here’s The Next Step

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2017 has declared the results of its second round of seat allotment online on its official website JoSAA released round two of the seat allotment for the candidates who have qualified in the JEE Mains 2017 and JEE Advance 2017. Established by Human Resource Development Ministry of India, JoSAA is an autonomous body that conducts counselling for the candidates seeking admission at NITs, IITs, and other renowned engineering colleges of India. 

The results for JOSAA 2017 second round of seat allotment was held for 36,208 candidates including 23 for IITs, 31 for NITs, 23 for IIITs and 20 for Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). A total of 29,415 allotted seats has been accepted by the candidates whereas a total of 6799 seats are vacant colleges like IIT Kharagpur (46 seats), IIT Delhi (25 seats), IIT Mumbai (14 seats), IIT Madras (19 seats) and IIT Palakkadu (8 seats).

JoSAA 2017 second round of seat allotment

JoSAA had earlier announced the Mock and results of the first round of seat allotment last month but now second round is declared for those who were not satisfied with round one of seat allotment and would like to go with the next round of seat allotment. All qualified candidates will be allotted seats in the respective colleges and stream according to their category and rank in JEE Main 2017 and JEE Advance 2017.

However, after the JoSAA 2017 results of second round of seat allotment, all qualified candidates will be given one two days to either accept the allotment or withdraw the seat. Candidates are required to report at the reporting centre on July 5 & 6, 2017 to procure their respective seats. Later to which, candidates will have to undergo counselling regarding the course’s orientation.

How to check JoSAA 2017 results of second round seat allotment

  • Visit the official website of JoSAA 2017
  • Click on the link JoSAA 2017 Second Round Seat Allotment Results
  • Punch in your JEE Main and JEE Advance Hall Ticket Number followed by Password
  • Submit the details and get the results
  • You can now check the college and stream allotted to you on the computer screen
  • Download the result and take the printout for future reference

Those who are not still satisfied with the second round of JoSAA 2017 seat allotment can apply for the thirds round of seat allotment, for which the result will be declared on July 7 by 5 pm.
