PM Modi begins celebrations for the International Yoga Day in an interesting way.

The International Yoga Day (IDY) which is celebrated on June 21 each year, is witnessing a series of celebrations which are being kicked off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with full zeal and enthusiasm. To begin with, the International Yoga Day (IDY) 2018 celebrations, PM Modi along with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh – Yogi Aditya Nath, the Lucknow state witnessed an amazing sight with as many as 50,000 participants.

Interestingly, the celebrations of International Yoga Day (IDY) 2018 which were being conducted in Lucknow were interrupted by heavy rainfall, but the spirit of the people to perform Yoga could not be washed away as a large number of people joined in the celebrations all over the country.

International Yoga Day (IDY) 2018 | Govt.’s Trip To Kerala For Foreign Professionals 

For the International Yoga Day (IDY) 2018, the AYUSH Ministry is all set to organise a tour for the abroad Yoga professionals to the ‘Yoga’s birthplace’ that is the southern state of Kerala. To mark the essence of Yoga, the tour for the foreign professionals is being organised in Kerala.

This is being done as a part of the different kinds of programmes which are being organised and will be done in the context of the International Yoga Day (IDY) 2018 celebrations.Known as the Yoga Ambassadors Tour, the International Yoga Day (IDY) 2018 tour is a 10-day tour which is being organised to Kerala with the explicit support that is being extended by the Kerala Tourism as well as the Association of Tourism Trade Organisations India (ATTOI).

Applications for the same are being invited from the Yoga professionals from every nook and corner of the world in order to provide them with the finest experience of Yoga from the state of Yoga’s birthplace who will also be a part of the Yoga drill which will be conducted on IDY 2018. Also, this tour will be beginning from June 21, 2018, in order to mark the International Yoga Day (IDY) 2018.

The United Nations (UN) General Assembly gave a positive response to the suggestion formulated by PM Modi that June 21 should be celebrated as International Yoga Day (IDY) 2018, after which, the country’s soft power, as well as the global outreach, became prominent.

This date has been selected by PM Modi as in the northern hemisphere and it also marks the day on which Lord Shiva began to impart Yoga for his followers and thus became their first Guru.
