Shimla: Railway launched special toy train between Shimla-Kalka route and it will start from Republic Day 2019. Shimla-Kalka Gets New Toy Train from 26 January 2019: Know All Facilities
Northern Railway’s Ambala Division has launched a new toy train and the first ride will start from Kalka to Shimla from 26 January 2019. The newly launched train will have a total of 6 Coaches and 102 seats. Although the same will be on a trial run of 6 months on the route. Whereas the further decision on its run will be made on the basis of the response of the tourists. All the coaches of the new toy train Kalka-Shimla will be air-conditioned and wooden flooring with seat upholstery.
Along with these facilities, Shimla-Kalka new train will have western commode washroom fittings. Also, the windows will be wider with roller blinds and its body will be of vinyl finish. From 26 January onwards, the railmotor car between the route will be cancelled.
Know Timing and Ticket Price of New Toy Train between Kalka Shimla Route
Ambala Division that runs Kalka-Shimla train has also released the schedule timing of the new toy train. As per the schedule, Kalka-Shimla new toy train number 52459 will start from Kalka at around 5.10 am and reach Shimla by 9.50 am. Whereas in the evening train number 52460 will depart from Shimla at 5.25 pm and arrive at Kalka around 10.05 pm.
As far as the ticket price/ fare of newly launched Kalka-Shimla toy train is concerned, passengers will have to spend a total of Rs. 630. Also, the authorised body is planning to have vestinule coaches like Shatabdi in this route. So get ready tourists to experience more unbelievable views while travelling between Kalka Shimla toy train route from Republic Day 2019.
