Bollywood’s Queen, Kangana Ranaut is hospitalized after sustaining serious injuries. Kangana Ranaut who was shooting a sword fighting sequence for her upcoming period drama, Manikarnika met with an accident on the sets of the movie and was then immediately rushed to the hospital in an emergency. The actor was performing sword fight with her co-star Nihar Pandya which went wrong due to wrong timing and weapon hit Kangana Ranaut right on her forehead between the eyebrows.

Kangana Ranaut sustained serious injuries and got hospitalized

It is when Kangana Ranaut started bleeding profusely, the unit of Manikarnika rushed her to the nearby Apollo hospital, which was about 30 minutes away from the shooting location where the incident happened. Despite the pain, Kangana Ranaut showed her brave front and pacified the team that she was fine. Kangana Ranaut who is playing Rani of Jhansi, Lakshmibai was later admitted to the ICCU and there she received 15 stitches. The doctors said that the injuries of the actor was too close to the bone and could have got fatal if it would have been an inch down. Though Kangana Ranaut is fine now, she will have to stay under observation in the hospital for another 3-4 days. Actor Nihar is very apologetic to Kangana Ranaut for the incident and prays for her speedy recovery.

Kangana Ranaut who chose not to use any body double for the sword fighting sequence for the movie Manikarnika was doing it herself. The actress was performing under the guidance of Hollywood action director Nick Powell and had taken a few lessons on sword fighting prior shooting the sequence, but it was just an accident that occurred. The shooting for Manikarnika was going on at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Now when Kangana Ranaut resume back to the shoot after a week, she decided to flaunt her scar in the movie as well. According to her, the scar will make her look more like a warrior Rani Lakshmibai.
