Japanese manufacturer – Kawasaki is all set to launch its new bike Kawasaki Versys X-300 in India soon. The company has teased an official video of the new bike which is likely to debut in the country. The video teaser of the Kawasaki Versys X-300 is not just intriguing but enthralling as well. Released by India Kawasaki Motor the video teaser of the new Kawasaki Versys X-300 showcases Kawasaki’s new bike in the green colour. Shot at different locations, the video showcases the on-road as well as off-road capabilities of the Kawasaki Versys X-300.
New Kawasaki Versys X-300 to debut on Indian roads
As per the report, the new on and off-roader Kawasaki Versys X-300 is likely to be launched in India in the next 2 months. As of now, all the details of the new bike from the manufacturer – Kawasaki have not been revealed officially, but it is being speculated that the Versys X-300 by Kawasaki is likely to come with a 300-cc engine. The company is currently using the same engine on the Kawasaki Ninja 300 sportbike.
As per the video, that has been teased by India Kawasaki Motors, Versys X-300 is dual functional bike compatible for both offroad as well as on-road experience. Two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki is expected to launch the new bike with the same 300 cc engine which is currently being used in the Kawasaki Ninja 300 sportbike. It is also being speculated that Versys X-300 which may carry the same engine as the Kawasaki Ninja 300 will carry a price tag a little higher than its sibling Ninja 300.
Engine specifications and Price of the new Kawasaki Versys X-300
As per the report, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 is currently priced at Rs. 3.6 lakhs (ex-showroom), and the new Kawasaki Versys X-300 is likely to be priced a little higher than the Ninja. It is expected that Kawasaki may launch the new Versys X-300 at around Rs. 4 lakhs. If the Versys X-300 is launched with the expected price tag it will make it about double the cost of the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The difference in the Versys X-300 is that it is expected to use the parallel twin engine similar to the Ninja 300 sports bike.
On the Ninja, the unit produces about 39 Bhp-27 Nm. It is expected that the engine might be tuned to produce a little more power on the Versys X-300. With four valves in each cylinder, twin camshafts, liquid cooling and fuel injection the engine is likely to come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Kawasaki Versys X-300 is expected to come with ABS, disc brakes on both wheels. While 41 mm telescopic forks will come fitted on the front suspension, the rear suspension is expected to come with Uni-Trak gas-charged mono-shock.
