Kawasaki Vulcan S Cruiser Teased by Kawasaki India | Check out Launch Details

Japanese bike maker Kawasaki has teased the Vulcan Cruiser which is expected to be launched soon in India. Kawasaki’s Vulcan cruiser is one of the much-awaited motorcycles from the Japanese bike maker. Post launch, the cruiser from Kawasaki will take on the Harley-Davidson Street 750 which is currently ruling the segment.

Bike manufacturer Kawasaki India appears to be on a launching spree. This year, Kawasaki India has introduced some most-awaited motorcycles till now. With most of the eyes on the bike maker’s new launches, it appears, the Japanese bike manufacturer will introduce the middleweight cruiser – Vulcan S Cruiser in 2018. With the introduction of Vulcan, the bikemaker plans to hit the segment with a bang. The bike manufacturer has teased its middleweight cruiser – the Vulcan S cruiser on company’s official website and this teaser from Kawasaki India clearly hints that the bike enthusiasts may expect the launch of the Kawasaki cruiser soon in India.

Features of the Kawasaki Vulcan S cruiser to be launched soon

The Kawasaki Vulcan S Cruiser is going to be a trendy offering in the segment and the bike shares its underpinnings with the Kawasaki Ninja 650. The Kawasaki cruiser, when it goes on sale in India, the cruiser will be competing against the likes of the Harley-Davidson Street 750 and the Street Rod 750 and the DSK Hyosung ST7 as well. The 650 cc + cruiser segment in India has limited action and offerings. The Kawasaki Vulcan S cruiser is expected to bring in some old school styling coupled with a contemporary and developed mill. As per the report, the Vulcan is built on the same Ninja 650 chassis but it gets a few tweaks.

The Vulcan S cruiser gets the muscular lines but follows the classic cruiser styling. The bike comes with low seat height, in addition to longer rake and trail for relaxed riding style. In the international markets, the Kawasaki cruiser bike comes with adjustable foot pegs in addition to adjustable seat height for improved comfort but it has not been officially announced if it will get the same options in the India-spec model.

Power, performance and launch date of the Kawasaki cruiser

The Kawasaki Vulcan S cruiser is reported to get a 649 cc parallel-twin, engine. The liquid-cooled, 649 cc engine will be tuned to produce 60.2 bhp and 62.78 Nm of peak torque at 7500 rpm and 6600 rpm respectively.

The motor will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Though the Kawasaki cruiser gets an ABS option in the international market, but in India, the bike is likely to come with ABS as a standard feature. It is likely that Kawasaki may launch the Vulcan S cruiser with a price tag of around Rs. 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Post launch, the Japanese cruiser may lock horns with Harley Street range, as well as Royal Enfield 650 twins.
