Biswa Kalyan Rath took to Facebook a few days ago to share the teaser of his new web series Lakhon Me Ek that was to be aired on Amazon Prime Video on the 13th of October. The teaser gave us a glimpse into the story and had us waiting ever since. We are so glad to share the news it was well worth it. Lakhon Me Ek made a debut on the Amazon Prime Video this Friday and all the six episodes were released together. The story revolves around a Raipur boy named Akash Gupta who is forced into the cliché Indian family dream of getting into IIT.
Biswa Kalyan Rath manages to give a layered character to us in the form of Akash who like any other Indian teenager gives up his dreams into the family pressure.

Biswa Kalyan Rath who wrote the screenplay also stars in the web series as a teacher in one of the IIT coaching institutes. The Amazon Prime Video series, Lakhon Me Ek has some gripping dialogues that are penned by Biswa Kalyan Rath himself. The story of Lakhon Me Ek has an uncanny resemblance to his own life since he has himself graduated from IIT Kharagpur. He said that the story although not biographical, is based on his memories of him and different people. Biswa also took the moment to thank Abhishek Sengupta who along with Amazon Prime Video took the project further when he thought of himself as rather inexperienced in the field.
Lakhon Me Ek on Amazon Prime Video:
The story of Lakhon Me EK revolves around Akash Gupta play ed by Ritwik Sahore and two of his friends Bakri and Chudail who meet in a coaching academy for IIT aspirants. Biswa Kalyan Rath uses the screenplay to tell the Indian viewers how the dreams of a child in our country are killed when he is forced into something else. Biswa Kalyan Rath who also stars in the Amazon Prime Video web series has written the screenplay and the dialogues which match into the narrative with utmost ease. The performance by Ritwik Sahore is the highlight of Lakhon Me Ek. His innocence, his anger, his frustration are all at par with bollywood actors and he manages to helm the series with sincerity. The Mohan Kanan opening track in this Amazon Prime Video series is something else to look forward to.
In all Lakhon Me Ek is an excellent series which captures the innocence of a teenager forced into something he does not want to do. Biswa Kalyan Rath does an amazing job with the story and the screenplay and we just cannot wait for his next venture. Amazon Prime Video which is also currently airing Biswa Kalyan Rath’s stand up special “Biswa Mast Admi” is going for 499 a year in India right now.
