Benefits of Solar Energy System @ Golden Temple
Looking forward to the reduction of Air Pollution, PEDA will soon introduce a Solar Energy System at Golden Temple, Amritsar for the preparation of Langar for the devotees. PEDA is expecting to improve many things at the Golden Temple with the introduction of Solar Energy System for cooking up of Langar.
- Air pollution will be reduced
- Less time will be consumed for the preparation of Langar at Golden Temple.
- There will be a decrease in the use of wood and LPG in the shrine in Amritsar.
- Langar will be prepared by the steam generated by Solar heat.
- More and more people can consume the Langar at the same time.
Earlier SGPC (Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee) has introduced a system in a shrine near Golden Temple, where food has been cooked by steam, but it is not generated by Solar Energy. But, we hope this to be implemented soon at Golden Temple Amritsar, so that food can be served to more and more devotees at same time.
