Ludhiana | Drug Peddler Dragged The ASI On His Car’s Bonnet And Escaped

The drug problem is getting nasty and is turning into criminal acts. The police have caught a lot of drug peddlers in the last few days.

On Sunday, an assistant sub-inspector was dragged for about 200 metres on the bonnet of a car by a drug peddler in Ludhiana. The assistant sub-inspector tried to catch the drug peddler and he was later dragged on the bonnet.

The Drug Peddler Came To Deliver “Chitta”

Sanjiv Kumar, the ASI who posted with the Anti-Narcotic Wing of Punjab tried to grab Sunny Doda, the drug peddler. The police said that the incident happened yesterday when Sunny Doda came to Shimla puri at Gill road in Ludhiana to deliver chitta (heroine).

The Punjab Anti-Narcotic Wing (Ludhiana) Inspector said that ASI led a three-member police team who were waiting to nab the drug smuggler.

How Did The Drug Peddler Escape

Sunny Doda suspected the presence of police officials when he stopped for delivering “Chitta”. ASI jumped on Sunny’s car when he tried to run away from the spot. The ASI jumped on Doda’s car to crush his car’s windscreen to stop him from running away. Initially, the drug smuggler reversed his car and then the ASI fell on the bonnet of his car. Doda finally managed to run away from the spot and negotiated the traffic on the busy roads.

Sanjiv Kumar, The ASI was dragged by Doda on the bonnet of his car for about 200 metres. The car’s viper broke down and Sanjiv fell down on the road.

The Inspector praised Sanjiv’s brave act and said he sustained minor injuries on his arm. The incident has been captured on a CCTV camera which was installed in the market. The police were given an information that Sunny Doda will be coming on a two-wheeler to deliver Heroin but instead, he came in the car. The police raided the area throughout the night to find the smuggler.

The inspector said that the drug peddler escaped but they will soon find arrest him. The Punjab government has got very strict against the drug suppliers and has made sure that they will be wiping out drugs from the state very soon.
