With most of the car manufacturer offering massive discounts on various models, homegrown automaker Mahindra & Mahindra is the latest player to offer a huge discount of about Rs 1.1 lakh on one of its most selling SUV – Mahindra Scorpio. Mahindra Offers Rs 1.1 Lakh Discount on Scorpio, Dealer specific discounts
Most of the mainstream car companies are offering attractive discounts in the new financial year. It has been reported that carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra is offering attractive discounts to boost sales on MY2017 cars. The company is offering huge discount on pre-facelifted version of the Mahindra Scorpio.
It is absolutely alright to pick up the pre-facelifted version of the Scorpio and saving Rs 1.1 lakh on the variant makes a lot of sense. The discounts being offered by the carmaker are dealer specific. There is a chance that the discount of Rs. 1.1 lakh which is being offered on the Mahindra Scorpio may vary from dealer to dealer and state to state.
Facelifted Scorpio doesn’t carry many changes
One of the most appealing features of this deal is that the new facelifted Scorpio is almost similar to the pre-facelift model. As per several reports, the latest facelift Scorpio doesn’t look revived and different from the replaced model.
The visible changes in the new Scorpio are the new grille, updated bumper, tailgate and taillights which can be easily retrofitted on the previous version of the Scorpio. Most of the changes that the new Scorpio gets are barely noteworthy. Buying the preface lifted version of the Scorpio for a discount of Rs. 1.1 lakh is indeed a great option.
No under the hood changes
There are minimal under the hood changes in the new facelifted Scorpio compared to the model that it has replaced. As per the report, the current model of Mahindra Scorpio gets power from a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine but churns out 20 bhp and 40 Nm more for the updated Scorpio. This is not a very major change in the Scorpio, as the updated power unit is only being offered in the top-of-the-line trim. Hence, mechanically too, the discount of Rs. 1.1 lakh is not a bad deal.
