Mahindra Scorpio New Facelift Model is Launching on 14th November – Know What’s Changing

Mahindra Scorpio is one of the most popular SUVs in India and arguably also one of the oldest. It was first introduced in India in 2002 but Mahindra has made sure that the Scorpio still feels fresh after giving it consistent facelifts. Well it is almost 2018 and a new Mahindra Scorpio facelift was long overdue. After we spied the SUV testing on Indian roads masked by camouflage, it was just yesterday that the highly anticipated Mahindra Scorpio 2018 facelift was spotted by Cartoq in full flesh.

What will be new in the Mahindra Scorpio?

The new facelift of the Mahindra Scorpio 2018 will get a Jeep Compass like grill which looks more aggressive than before and provides the car with a more urban feel compared to its competitors. The bumper and headlights get a minor refresh and the rear of the new Mahindra Scorpio facelift is more sophisticated than before. The seats are more contoured and comfortable and the 8-inch touch screen infotainment display offers Mahindra’s Connected Apps feature along with Android Auto.

The engine of the Mahindra Scorpio is the same 2.2 litre M-Hawk but now comes with the same state of tune as of Mahindra Xuv500 and produces 143BHP of power. The base variants get the same 75BHP motor as before.

The Mahindra Scorpio line up, on the whole, will get two extra variants though, so you have a wider range to choose from. The new S11 will be the new top end variant which will come with a different interior and larger set of alloy wheels.

Launch Date and Mahindra Scorpio Price Details in India:

The new facelift 2018 of the Mahindra Scorpio SUV is all set to be launched by the company on the 14th of November. The price list of the Mahindra Scorpio will remain largely unchanged and will be closer to the exciting model. The addition of a new S11 variant in the list that will sit on top of the existing S10 may increase the price but will offer more set of features. The Mahindra Scorpio when launched will rival the Creta, Jeep Compass and the more recently launched Renault Captur in the Indian car market.
