Mahindra Scorpio is Getting a Facelift | Know Changes, See Leaked Pictures of New Scorpio Model

The Mahindra Scorpio facelift has been spied testing on the Indian roads. According to report, the Mahindra Scorpio is all set to receive a facelift and the new Scorpio may be launched this year only. A test mule of the updated Mahindra Scorpio was recently spotted on the roads.

The spy images of the rear as well as of the front of partially camouflaged Mahindra Scorpio facelift was recently shared on the digital platform. The photographs reveal that the 2017 Mahindra Scorpio facelift is likely to come with a few cosmetic updates. It has been reported that the Mahindra Scorpio facelift will come with a restyled interior and will also get some feature upgrades.

Mahindra Scorpio Facelift Spied On Indian

On the basis of the new spy images, it has been reported that the Mahindra Scorpio facelift, gets exterior and interior changes. Though the changes are pretty minimal, yet the changes are visible, especially on the rear side.

The Mahindra Scorpio facelift has been spied under a camouflage yet the tailgate and the rear bumper reveals that restyling has been done on the new Mahindra Scorpio. Apart from the tailgate and the rear bumper, the rear section of the Mahindra Scorpio facelift remains unchanged. The rear appearance of the new Scorpio is almost similar to the outgoing model.

Updates on the new Mahindra Scorpio 

While the new Mahindra Scorpio is expected to come with similar features. The roof-mounted spoiler remains same whereas the vertically stacked twin-pod taillamps are likely to come in all-red instead of clear ones. More embossed plastic cladding will come on either side of the rear windshield.

The side portion of the new Mahindra Scorpio facelift seems unchanged. The only visible change is that the new Scorpio gets a revised set of alloy wheels. The front of the new Scorpio cound not be accessed and hence the updates on the front side are not available. The only update that is availble suggests that the updated model of the Scorpio will come with a redesigned front grille, revised headlamps and new bumper. There may be minor styling touches in the new Scorpio facelift.

While the powertrain options of the new Scorpio are expected to remain unchanged, yet the 2017 Scorpio facelift is expected to get a more efficient 6-speed auto gearbox.

Interior of the Mahindra Scorpio facelift

The cabin of the new Mahindra Scorpio facelift is reported to come with a host of cosmetic changes. The new Scorpio may get a slightly reworked dashboard which may accommodate an updated infotainment system. The unit will support Android Auto, Connected Apps, EcoSense and the Emergency-Call feature. The Emergency-call feature connects to the listed emergency contact numbers in case of an accident.

The new Mahindra Scorpio facelift is likely to get new upholstery and enhanced safety features which will be part of the package.

The 2017 Mahindra Scorpio facelift is expected to get a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that churns out 120 bhp and a peak torque of 280 Nm. While a 5-speed manual gearbox will come as standard in the new Mahindra Scorpio facelift, a 6-speed automatic torque converter may come as an option.
