More Stronger & Premium – New Mahindra XUV 500 Facelift Model is Coming Soon | Spied On Indian Roads

Mahindra XUV 500 is arguably the most popular SUV in India and that is mostly because the value of money it offers. At a price range when most manufacturers sell five seater SUVs, Mahindra sells a fully fledged seven seater XUV500 that is also loaded with features. But the Indian car buyer is easily lured by a host of other features that the Jeep Compass and the Hyundai Creta come with and that has taken a hit at the sales of the car. Mahindra XUV 500 facelift that is due for launch has been spied testing on Indian roads and is ready to take the throne back from the new kids on the block.

Mahindra has equipped the new XUV 500 with a host of new features and sophisticated styling

XUV 500 might be the most popular SUV in the company’s portfolio but that does not mean it comes without its flaws. Ever heard about ‘you can’t make everyone happy’? Well that was something that went well the XUV 500. The design of the Mahindra SUV was a hit with the Indian car buyer who was looking to turn a few heads on the road but the sophisticated buyer was looking for something premium and that was something the XUV 500 was not. Now the reports suggest that the new updated Mahindra XUV500 will be more sophisticated and that over styled look is a thing of the past.

The interiors of the car will be more premium too and come with better plastics and touch panels. The infotainment system too while remaining largely the same will add support for Apple Carplay since it already supported Android Auto. The biggest change in the new updated Mahindra XUV 500 will be the new variant that will make 170 BHP of power which was desperately what the car needed to compete with the Jeep Compass and the Hyundai Tucson.

Launch and Price of the new Mahindra XUV 500

There is a good chance that Mahindra will chose the platform of Delhi’s Auto Expo in February-March 2018 to showcase the XUV 500 and launch it in India soon after. As for the pricing it is expected to be largely the same but a premium of 20-30 Thousand Indian Rupees is expected for the updated Mahindra XUV 500.
