Mahindra Launches (XUV 500 W9) – A New Variant With Sunroof Priced at 15.45 Lakh | Know Special Features

Mahindra Xuv500 has introduced a new W9 VARIANT.  The new W9 VARIANT of the Mahindra Xuv500 will sit between the already popular W8 and W10 variants. With this, Mahindra XUV 500 W9 has a new model of its popular SUV.

Features of the new Mahindra Xuv 500 W9 variant:

There are no cosmetic changes in the New variant of the Mahindra Xuv 500 w9. It gets additional features which are a premium to the w8 variant. An electric sunroof, reverse camera and Mahindra Eco-sense technology are part of the new feature loaded xuv500 W9 VARIANT. The touchscreen infotainment system has been carried from the W8 variant of XUV500 which comes with Android Auto and Bluetooth functionality. Keyless entry and push-button start are also present in the Mahindra Xuv 500 W9 VARIANT. On the safety front, it gets an emergency call function, dual airbags, ABS and EBD along with Rollover Mitigation.

The Mahindra Xuv 500 W9 VARIANT comes with both automatic and manual transmissions mated to the existing 2.2-litre mHAWK diesel engine. The power the engine churns out is same at 140BHP with 330nm of torque. There is a choice of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission in the New W9 variant of Mahindra Xuv500.

Competition of the Mahindra Xuv500 W9 VARIANT:

After the launch of the jeep compass, the segment has suffered a decline in the sales of other cars. The Jeep Compass is an internationally appreciated product and gave tough competition to the likes of Xuv500 and Hyundai Creta. To compete with the demand Mahindra launched the Xuv500 in New W9 variant. It aims to provide the more premium features of w10 in an affordable price bracket. The new W9 variant of the Xuv500 will sit between W8 and W10. An updated Mahindra Xuv500 is in the works which might see the light of day sometime by the end of this year.

Launch and price details of the Mahindra Xuv500 W9 VARIANT:

The New variant of the Mahindra Xuv500 w9 was launched on the 4th October 2017. It was priced at 15.45 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. It is priced similarly to the Hyundai Creta, Toyota Innova and the Jeep Compass. Mahindra XUV500 remains to be the most feature-rich SUV in the 14-18 lakh price bracket. Mahindra and Mahindra reported that it sold a total of 53,663 units in September with an increase of 16 percent.
