The NRI Culture in Punjab

Balwinder Singh had also dreamt of marrying her daughter with an NRI. Who knew that Balwinder Singh’s lunatic dreams would one day turn into a murder case.
Balwinder Singh had chosen an NRI boy for her daughter to marry. He was upset as Amandeep Kaur (her daughter) had refused to abide by his decision to marry an NRI boy. Amandeep Kaur’s mother Harjinder Kaur had also objected to the match. They had rejected a boy for the sixth time.
The investigating officer said that Balwinder Singh got embarrassed as his daughter was getting married. Due to this, Balwinder was frustrated and he and his wife also got into an argument on Saturday. His frustration turned into a murder.
