Ahead of the launch, details of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift have been released. The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is in news for a while now and is all set to be launched in few days. The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is going to get the first comprehensive upgrade in the market. According to the report, the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross (Facelift) is slated to be launched on the 28 of September. Before the launch, the Indian automaker – Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), has released details of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift. The details released reveal all the big changes that were expected on the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross (Facelife).
Ahead Of Launch Details Of The S-Cross Facelift Revealed
The outgoing model of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross was reworked when it was introduced in India, but the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, the facelifted version, carries several details from the Euro-spec model. The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross (Facelife) gets a host of aesthetic changes that are striking and better than the outgoing model of the existing Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Besides the cosmetic changes that the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross (Facelife) will get it will also get changes under the hood.
The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross gets a bold new design language. The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift is not only bulky and muscular but sportier as well. To boost the brawny look of the crossover, vertically stacked chrome induced version of grille has been introduced in place of the two-slat grille. The reworked headlamps will carry projector lamps and new signature LED daytime running lights. This option will be reserved to the top Alpha variants only. The bumper of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift has also got a muscular appearance that has been merged well with sharp lines. The all-new bumper also gets black plastic cladding besides a brushed silver finished faux diffuser.
Specifications of the S-Cross Facelift
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift gets the black cladding that runs across the lower belt-line of the car that extends to the rear bumper. The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift doesn’t get an extensive sideline but new alloy wheel design with a dual-tone finish and wider tyres add to the sportier appearance of the crossover. Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift gets revised LED taillights and re-arranged brake lights.
To offer an upmarket finish, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift has been loaded with basic changes inside the cabin. Soft touch materials used have been used on the dashboard with a new satin chrome finish while the centre console gets a piano black finish. Design of the seats of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift has also been changed. The undated model also gets a leather finished armrest. The touchscreen infotainment system is same as the outgoing model but the updated system comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well.
Dual airbags and ABS will come in all the variants of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift as a standard fitment. Besides these safety features, the crossover also gets ISOFIX child seat mount which is standard across all variants.
Only one engine option in the new S-Cross facelift
Under the hood, the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift will get only the 1.3-litre diesel engine now. The 1.6-litre, Fiat-sourced engine has been discontinued from the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross line-up. The 1.3-litre engine has been badged as the DDiS 200 comes with smart hybrid technology. The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift will also include torque assist, idle-stop start, gearshift indicator and a brake energy regeneration system.
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has already commenced bookings for the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift at more than 280 NEXA dealerships across India. The S-Cross facelift can be booked for a token amount of Rs. 11,000. What more, a new NEXA Blue shade has been added to the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift which was introduced on the Ciaz earlier this year.
