Maruti Suzuki Celerio facelift is expected to be launched soon in India. The facelift edition of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio will be christened the Celerio X. The Maruti Suzuki Celerio X will mark Maruti Suzuki’s foray into the cross-hatchback segment. Surprisingly, it is expected that the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X will not have any real competition.
Celerio X to mark Maruti’s foray in Cross-Hatchback segment
Maruti Suzuki Celerio is all set to get a major update with new crossover-like styling. The Celerio update will be christened the Celerio X. According to the report, the Celerio X will mark Maruti Suzuki’s foray into an all-new segment which is the cross-hatchback segment. The report also claimed that the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X will not have any real competition.
It is being speculated that Maruti Suzuki Celerio X will renew interest in Maruti Suzuki’s product line. Though there has been no official statement on the release date yet it if reports are to be believed, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X is expected to be launched in the first week of October.
The Celerio has been one of the best-selling cars from the stable of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. The Maruti Suzuki Celerio has retained its position as company’s one of the best-selling car since inception and is one of the consistent models for last few years for India’s largest car maker.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio X’s competition in the Indian market
Maruti Suzuki Celerio was the first car in Maruti Suzuki India’s lineup to receive the AMT (Automatic Manual Transmission) or the AGS (Auto Gear Shift), as called by Maruti Suzuki.
Though it has been claimed that the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X will not have a real competition in the market, yet the car is expected rival other cross-hatchbacks in the segment in the Indian market. The already existing cross-hatchbacks in India include the Fiat Avventura, the Hyundai i20 Active, and the Toyota Etios Cross which will pose great competition to the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X. The only feature that will add to the popularity of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X is the price of the Celerio X. All the other cross-hatchbacks are considerably more expensive than the Celerio X.
Celerio X to be sold through this new dealership
The Maruti Suzuki cross-hatch Celerio X will get plastic claddings that would run around the car. These claddings would include the wheel arches and the side skirts. Besides the plastic cladding, the Celerio X will also get brand new bumpers. The revised bumpers will be clubbed with black plastic cladding. What will add newness to the appearance of the bumper is the brushed silver accents that have been added to the bumper. A new set of wheels that have been added to the Celerio X will further enhance the styling of the cross-hatch .
It has been reported that the Celerio X will not get any mechanical upgrades yet the cosmetic updates will add a new lease of life into the Maruti Celerio’s lineup. The Celerio X will be sold through the standard range of dealerships where the existing Maruti Suzuki Celerio is currently being sold. The report also mentions that besides the standard dealerships, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X will also be sold through Arena line of dealerships that has been recently unveiled by Maruti Suzuki.
