Not Swift, But It’s Maruti Suzuki Dzire As The Best Selling Car in India & Here’re Its 5 Best Features

Maruti Suzuki Dzire has retained the top spot for 3 consecutive months. As per the report, the new Maruti Dzire has sold over 20,600 units in October to retain the number 1 position in the list of top selling passenger cars in India. The top-selling compact sedan has been retained the number 1 position for three months in a row since its launch earlier this year. The top three positions were seized by the market leader Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) with Maruti Suzuki’s Dzire leading the list followed by its smaller sibling Alto on number two and the hot hatchback Baleno on the third position. 14,532 units of Maruti Suzuki’s premium hatchback Baleno were sold last month that made Baleno the third high-selling model in the industry.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tops Again

After topping the list of most selling passenger cars in India for the month of August and September, Maruti Suzuki Dzire has again topped the list for the month of October and has retained the top position for 3rd consecutive month.

As per the report, over 20,600 units of the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire have been sold in the month of October. Maruti’s compact sedan Dzire retained the number 1 position in the list of top selling passenger cars in India for the month of October 2017. The Dzire is followed by Alto on the second number and Baleno on the third number. Dzire has been the fastest selling compact sedan in the country from the Maruti Suzuki stable. Out of the total 10 top-selling cars in the country, Maruti Suzuki India limited seized 7 spots with Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Suzuki Swift and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Breeza on the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th position respectively.

New Dzire carries fresh Design

Maruti Suzuki Dzire had been a successful compact-sedan since the launch of the first-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The compact sedan was earlier christened as the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire as the car borrowed its design cues from Maruti’s hot-selling Swift hatchback. As per reports, the new third-gen Dzire also gets its basic silhouette from the all-new Swift’s design which is slated to be launched in India next year.

Some of the visible changes that the new Dzire gets includes a new hexagonal grille. The chrome slats and the chrome enclosure merged inside the hexagonal grille gives the compact sedan a fresh new front look. What adds to the car’s appearance is the smoked out projector headlights, LED DRLs and fog-lights that house beautifully in the redesigned bumper. The new Dzire gets a unique identity upfront as well as an appealing rear end with redesigned tail-lights. On the rear of the Dzire it also gets a humped boot lid and a redesigned bumper.

Roomier cabin

In the segment, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire may not be the roomiest car but the new Dzire offers ample passenger cabin space for a comfortable ride.

Updated entertainment and other features

The new Maruti Dzire gets a dashboard which is believed to be similar to the new Swift hatchback, all set to be launched in India next year. The Dzire comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system. The compact-sedan also gets automatic climate control with digital display. The flat-bottom steering wheel gets wood inserts, instrument cluster and centre air-con vents have been introduced in the new Dzire for the fresh and premium appeal.

Premium plastic and alloy wheels

The plastic that has been used in the new Dzire gives a premium outlook to the compact sedan. The top-model of the Dzire gets premium features such as Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel, Burl Wood Ornamentation, Dual-Tone Interiors, Urbane Satin Chrome Accents on Console, Gear Lever and Steering Wheel et al.

Safety features 

Besides the premium and attractive features that the new Dzire gets it has been equipped with the advanced safety features as well. While the top-model of the new Dzire gets ABS with EBD with Brake Assist and Dual Airbags as standard fitment across all the variants, the top-spec model gets reverse parking camera, reverse parking sensors, Rear defogger and other premium features.

Automatic Transmission

Apart from Manual Transmission option, the new third-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire also gets the option of Auto Transmission as well.
