The 14th edition of the Auto Expo, the much sought after automobile event in the country is slated to be organised next year. The 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi is expected to be a grand affair for most of the automakers. India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is likely to unveil a huge lineup of cars and concepts at the 2018 auto expo.
The Auto Expo in Delhi is India’s biggest automotive event where automakers from across the globe, showcase the new models from beside flaunting new models at the platform. The largest car manufacturer in the country, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., too will use the platform to unveil some of the much-awaited cars from the Maruti stable besides showcasing some of the brand new designs. Maruti Suzuki’s next-generation Swift (hatchback) is one of the cars which will make its way to the 2018 Auto Expo but the carmaker will also showcase other products from the Maruti stable during the Delhi Auto Expo.
With over 50 per cent of the sales, Maruti Suzuki, the most dominant player in the Indian car market will be announcing the Swift at the event and here’s the roundup of the vehicles that will be showcased at the most crowded stall of the auto expo.
The new next-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift
The next-gen Swift that was recently showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show, will finally make its way to India. The audience and auto enthusiasts will get the first look of the much-anticipated hatchback at the 2018 Auto Expo. It is being speculated that the Indian-spec model will be much similar to the showcased model.
Though the next generation Swift is getting an all-new design, yet the hatchback is reported to be offered in the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine that the current model carries. It is likely that Maruti Suzuki might introduce a sportier version of the new Swift soon. This new version might get RS badging and may come powered by the 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine.
Maruti Suzuki Entry Level Hatchback Concept
While most of the Maruti Suzuki rivals are testing new entry-level hatchbacks it is speculated that the largest car manufacturer – Maruti Suzuki may also introduce an entry-level hatchback concept at the auto expo. The carmaker may flaunt a near-production model at the much-awaited expo. To match the tastes of new-age buyers Maruti Suzuki may launch a new entry-level hatchback that will compete with rival and one of the 10 best selling passenger cars in India – Renault Kwid. The suspense will be unearthed at the auto expo, till then keep guessing!
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift
The facelifted Maruti Suzuki’s executive sedan – Ciaz, will also make its way to the 2018 Auto Expo. With the competition getting tougher in the segment, this facelift from Ciaz was expected. The new Ciaz is expected to get a sleeker looking but will continue to get the same set of engines. Some of the visible changes in the Ciaz facelift will be the redesigned bumpers, stronger double slat front grille and there is a possibility that the automaker may introduce a panoramic sunroof in the sedan.
Second-Generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
Maruti Suzuki’s MUV- Ertiga may also get new look at the upcoming Auto Expo. It has been reported that test mules of the next-gen Maruti Ertiga had been spotted several times. The Ertiga facelift promises to get upmarket looks besides offering more space inside the cabin.
