Country’s leading carmaker Maruti Suzuki is all set to introduce a premium SUV in India. As per the report, the premium SUV from Maruti Suzuki is expected to be positioned above the Maruti Suzuki Breeza and may carry a price range between Rs 12 lakh to Rs 18 lakh.
Prior to this, Maruti Suzuki had launched the Vitara in the country a few years back that was discontinued in India due to the response it received. Now, the new premium SUV which Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce at a price below Rs 18 lakh, there are possibilities that the new premium SUV might be a tough competition in the SUV segment.
Maruti Suzuki’s premium SUV to rival the likes of Mahindra XUV500, Tata Hexa
Maruti Brezza that was launched by Maruti Suzuki last year has been one of the successful models for the company. The company has plans to replicate the business strategy that it has implemented for Maruti Brezza so that it can receive a good response for the premium SUV as well. As per the report, the new premium SUV from Maruti Suzuki is likely to rival the likes of Tata Hexa and Mahindra XUV500.
In addition to the Maruti Suzuki Breeza, the company has also utilised the similar marketing strategies for premium models such as the sedan Ciaz and the hot hatchback Baleno and have tasted success. Maruti Suzuki will try to introduce the new premium SUV using similar marketing strategies.
Launch date of the premium SUV by Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki has not yet revealed which international model is going to be introduced in India in the mentioned segment premium SUV segment that falls in the bracket between Rs 12 lakh to Rs 18 lakh. Maruti’s Vitara Brezza that was launched in the country last year has been one of the most successful sub-compact SUVs in India.
Brezza has also been company’s one of top-selling cars in the segment since its launch. After tasting success in the subcompact SUV segment, Maruti Suzuki has all eyes on the premium SUV segment in the country. This is only segment where Maruti Suzuki is not offering any product.
The company has not released any official date for revealing the premium SUV but reports suggest that Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (MSIL) has plans to soon introduce a bigger and premium SUV from the stable in the mentioned segment in India.
