Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 Facelift launch is around the corner and if sources are to be believed then the company will be showcasing the car at the upcoming Auto Expo in Delhi. The launch will mark the entry of the third generation model of the popular hatchback that has been one of the highest selling models in India.

If the ongoing rumours are true then we believe the company has been able to price the car very competitively undercutting the competition by a huge margin. The new Swift will be offered at 4.75 Lakhs for the base Lxi variant with standard airbags and ABS.

Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 Facelift To Be More Fuel Efficient Than The Current Model

The third generation of the Maruti Suzuki Swift will bring along a host of changes to the current car. The exterior is completely different and looks sportier than the outselling model. The A-pillar is blacked out in classic Swift style and the headlamps and tail lights are now completely revamped. Coming to the cabin of the 2018 Swift the features and technology are taken utmost care of by Maruti Suzuki.

The infotainment screen on the top end trims will now come with Apple Carplay and Android Auto along with the mirrorlink technology. The steering wheel has a flattened bottom which makes aims to make the handling better than before.

The engine options in the new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 Facelift are expected to remain the same as the current model but the 1.0 litre turbo petrol from the Baleno might make its way to the car too. The 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre DDis Diesel will be retuned and since the car is now built on a lighter platform the car is expected to return a fuel efficiency of 26 Kilometres to a litre. If Maruti Suzuki does decide to bring the Swift in a hybrid avatar this may increase to as much as 32 km/l.

Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 Facelift Launch Details

Maruti Suzuki is expected to showcase the car at the Auto Expo in Delhi next month and the launch may happen there itself or sometime soon after. Since the company already has a premium hatchback to counter the likes of Elite i20 and the Jazz, the Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 Facelift will be undercutting the price of the Baleno by a huge margin. Expect the prices of the base variant to start from as low as 4.75 Lakhs in India.
