The next-gen Swift hatchback is already on sale in several countries but it is yet to make its way to the Indian market for the Indian consumers. The Maruti Swift Sport that was recently seen is reported to be the hottest version of the Swift hatchback. As compared to the base version of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift the Swift Sport carries several noticeable differences.
The sporty avatar of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift is more practical than the predecessor model. The next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift is much spacious than the existing model and offers sufficient space for a family. With better leg room, even six-footers can easily sit inside the next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift one behind the other without any hassle.
Specifications of the New Suzuki Swift Sport
The next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift is not as spacious as the Maruti Baleno that was launched in India last year, but it offers better space than the current Swift model. The boot space too is sufficient for 4-5 mid-sized bags and the 60:40 split rear seat option which is foldable can easily accommodate even more luggage for a weekend road trip. Similar to the Maruti Baleno, the plastic quality of the next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift is also better.
With the all black palette, the dashboard of the new Swift sport looks refreshing. The retro-modern climate control console on the dashboard adds to the cabin appearance of the much-anticipated hatchback. The India-spec next-gen Swift will use the same SmartPlay infotainment system that currently comes equipped in the Maruti Suzuki Dzire that was recently launched in India and has become the most selling car in the country surpassing several records in the segment.
As per the report, the layout of the next-gen Maruti Swift is fresh, appealing and tasteful and is dissimilar from the new Maruti Dzire. If Maruti Suzuki sticks with this layout it surely will push the sales of the hatchback which is yet to be launched in India.

The Swift Sport’s looks are aggressive. With sporty bucket seats, brawny bumpers, twin tail pipes, enhanced 17 inch wheels and all-new side skirts the Swift Sport carries the same engine that currently powers the new Swift.
The Swift Sport is expected to offer a vigorous dose of excitement to the consumers. The next-gen Swift is expected to be launched in India early next year.
As per the report, the new Maruti Swift is expected to carry the existing engine options, although the engines have been reworked to offer better fuel efficiency. The new Swift is likely to be priced above the outgoing version.
