Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 9 update for the Xioami Redmi 5A smartphone. The MIUI 9 Global ROM update is based on Android Nougat 7.0 operating system. All Xiaomi Redmi 5A users will now get the OTA notification for the update or alternatively, they can check for the update in the phone update section in About Phone. A couple of days back, Xiaomi released a forum post and released a list of 40 smartphones that will get the MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM update.

The MIUI 9 Global ROM update based on Android Nougat for Xiaomi Redmi 5A has started rolling out. The new update will bring several changes in the user interface of the phone. Two of the new features that are best in the update is the Split Screen mode and Smart Assistant. Users can use two apps simultaneously via Split screen feature. The smart screen can be launched by a left swipe on the home screen. The update brings faster app load times and new designs.
