Mohali Gets a New DC | Gurpreet Sapra

It is the matter of pride and honor, that the Chandigarh’s adjoining district of Punjab, Mohali gets its first women deputy Commissioner.

Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, a 2006-batch promotee IAS officer, has been posted as the new Deputy Commissioner of SAS Nagar. The newly appointed DC has replaced her batchmate and another promotee IAS officer Daljit Singh Mangat who was earlier Deputy Commissioner of Kapurthala.

About the newly appointed DC in Mohali

50 years old Gurpreet Sapra was earlier posted as the Special Secretary, Personnel and will now be in charge of Director, Grievances, and Pensions. This is the post which was lying vacant since long. As a Special secretary, personnel, earlier, Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, was in charge of Executive Director, Backfinco.

In the newly formed Capt Amarinder Singh’s government in Punjab, Sapra is among the 18 Deputy Commissioners who were posted in the first phase of reshuffling of 20 IAS officers.

Now the people of Mohali are looking forward to receiving fair and compassionate services from the first women Deputy Commissioner
