As gurudwaras in Chandigarh will be celebrating Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s birth anniversary on 7th Jan 2015, a Nagar Kirtan (religious procession) was taken out to mark the celebrations of Gurupurab in Chandigarh. Hundreds of devotees took part in the Nagar Kirtan which was organized on 5th Jan 2015.
Chandigarh police diverted the traffic at various points to avoid traffic jams on the route of Nagar Kirtan.
7th Jan 2015 has already been announced as a public holiday by the Chandigarh Administration for the eve of Gurupurab in Chandigarh.
