National Crafts Mela, the annual event being held at Kalagram, Chandigarh is back for year 2016 with its 7th edition. Chandigarh Crafts Mela is known to display the culture, tradition, arts and crafts of various states of India and attracts thousands of visitors. Apart from stalls that sell arts and crafts items, National Crafts Mela at Kalagram in Manumajra, Chandigarh also has food stalls, cultural dance performances, star nights and lots more.
Every year, the crafts mela is based on a chosen theme. The theme for 7th edition of Chandigarh crafts mela for year 2016 is Kashmir to Kohima. (North to North East).

The crafts mela is organized by North Zone Cultural Centre, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India in association with Chandigarh Administration. The schedule for crafts mela 2016 at Chandigarh is as follow:
Dates: 22nd January 2016 to 31st January, 2016 (10 Days).
Star Performances / Star Night: Daily 6:00 PM onwards.
Theme: Kashmir (North India) to Kohima (North East India).

A total of 170 stalls have been set up at Kalagram for the national crafts mela 2016. Special 20 food stalls have also been set up for people to taste the specialities of North and North East Indian states.
