NCERT Books To Be Used In UP Board Schools From 2018 | Know Major Changes

NCERT Books shall only be used for Class 10 and 12 in the Government schools affiliated to the UP Board.

With respect to the various changes which are being brought about by the National Council of Educational Research and Training in the their NCERT Books as well as the school boards, the content, as well as the books which will be used in the schools affiliated to the UP Board, are also to be a part of the change.

The ruling party of Uttar Pradesh that is the Yogi Aditya Nath Government recently made an announcement notifying the educational changes in regard to National Council of Educational Research and Training which it is likely to bring about for the Government Schools affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh Board. This decision will be implemented from the ongoing academic session that is 2018-2019 and will be applicable for two of the major classes that are Class 10 as well as Class 12.

NCERT Books For UP Board Schools 

A decision to introduce the use of the NCERT Books in the different schools affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Board has been made by the Yogi Aditya Nath Government which was declared in front of the Niti Ayog. This will be applicable to all the Government schools which are affiliated to the UP Board and the matric as well as the intermediate that is Class 10 and Class 12 respectively.

Also, in the month of February, an official announcement by the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UP Board) was made that the National Council of Educational Research and Training Syllabus which will be taught in the Classes 10 & 12, the same has been updated on the official website. All these changes were updates in the month of February 2018 and were applicable for the new academic session which commenced in April 2018.

NCERT Books To Be Used in UP Board Schools For Student Benefit 

The decision to make use of the NCERT Books for Classes 10 & 12 of different government schools affiliated to the CBSE Board is likely to benefit as many as one crore students of the senior classes. There are 23,900 government-aided as well as unaided schools of the UP Board. Also, the National Council of Educational Research and Training books are to be used in the Madrassas as well as per the official reports.

Apart from this, a total of 31 subject books are required by the students of Class 10 & Class 12 for the academic session of 2018 out of which 18 are available for the students. Adding to this, the teachers necessarily need to complete as many as 220 working days which earlier were 190 in number.
