CBSE NEET 2017 and its controversies

This year CBSE’s NEET examination was conducted in vernacular languages in different parts of the country apart from English and Hindi.  The reason behind conducting examination different regional languages was that the board wanted to give chance to the students who don’t know English or Hindi. Other than this paper leak was another reason for NEET 2017 to be held in vernacular languages.

This time, Gujarat High Court and Madras High Court had separately filed a petition in the Supreme Court, regarding, the setting of difficult vernacular examination of NEET2017 in their respective state than the paper set in English or Hindi languages. However, the Supreme Court has ordered stay on any petition and had directed CBSE to declare the results by June 26.

NEET is the common admission examination conducted by CBSE for MBBS and BDS courses every year. Over 11.38 lakh students had written the paper of NEET 2017, this year.
