NEET 2017: Second Round Registration & Choice Filling | Here’re the Details

The Medical counseling committee has begun the registration process for the second round of counseling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats based on NEET UG 2017 ranks. The second round registration process will continue from August 1 to August 4. The registrations for NEET UG 2017 admissions is open till 5:00 pm on August 4, 2017. Eligible candidates can make registrations and fill in their preferred choices of various institutes on mcc.nic.in. MCC conducted the first round of counseling and seat allotment on July 15 and admission process continued until July 22.

NEET Second Round Counselling

The following candidates are eligible for registration in the 2nd round of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 allotment. Candidates who have not allotted seat in the first round of allotment and candidates who are willing to participate in the second round of allotment being not satisfied in round one allotment. Candidates who are willing to register for the second round of seat allotment must do it by August 4, 2017. The seat matrix and schedule of available seats in various institutes for the second round of allotment for 15 percent AIQ 2017 is available on MCC website. Students must check the availability of seats for their preferred institutes before filling and locking their choices.

Candidates who are making registrations for the second round need to submit their fresh choices. The choices submitted by candidates in the first round will be null and void. Candidates who get seat allotted in the second round will not be allowed to vacate their seats. This second round of allotment is the final call for admissions to NEET UG 2017 institutes. Seats which remain vacant after the second round of allotment will be taken over by state authority for state counseling.

Important Dates: NEET 2017 

Candidates who appeared for NEET 2017 must make note of these important dates for the second round of counseling. Eligible candidates need to make their registration and fill and lock their choices from August 1 till August 4, 2017. The Committee will hold the process of seat allotment from August 5 until August 7, 2017. Candidates can check out their round 2 seat allotment result on August 8, 2017, on official portal of NEET. After checking the result of Round 2 NEET 2017, candidates are requested to report to the allotted institute for admission from August 9, 2017, till August 16, 2017.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the results for NEET UG 2017 in the month of June 2017. Aspirants who qualified in the entrance test were eligible for 65,170 seats of MBBS in 470 medical colleges and 25,730 BDS seats in 308 Dental colleges across the country.
