NEET 2017, the most controversial issues of all times has shaken off the nation from its complacency. Right from the beginning of the way NEET 2017 was conducted this year by Central Board of Secondary Education to its execution to the regional languages in which it was held to the delay caused in the result declaration date to what not.

Well, bringing forth for those who could not keep a track of what happened after the NEET 2017 examination was conducted last month till its official result declaration date which was June 8,2017, NEET 2017 has been the controversy’s favourite child. Let us take a look as to how the first thread linked the NEET 2017’s controversies to what it seems as a never ending scenario.

MAY 7,2017 :

  • CBSE conducted NEET 2017 examination as a medical test for candidates seeking admission into MBBS and BDS Colleges
  • An 18-yr old young girl from Kerela felt humiliated when asked to remove her bra before entering the examination hall
  • Another girl student was asked to change her tights (jeans) during the frisking process before NEET 2017
  • Many such cases were reported from all the corners of the nation during comducting NEET 2017

MAY 8,2017

  • Students who appeared for the NEET 2017 examination in Bengali alleged it to be tougher than the one in English language
  • NEET 2017 drew West Bengal’s Education Minister’s attention as he felt the exam was tougher and questions were different
  • 5 arrests made from Delhi and Jaipur in connection with cheating cases occurring in NEET 2017
  • 4 candidates hailing from Bihar arrested by Goa Police in the case of ‘impersonation’ while appearing for NEET 2017

MAY 17,2017

  • Re-test of the NEET 2017 conducted by CBSE for around 230 students appeared for the examination this year
  • Out of 230, 228 students attempted the exam in Telegu while the rest of them in Hindi language

MAY 24,2017

  • NEET 2017 Results were halted and ‘stay orders’ were issued directing not to release the results before controversies end
  • Medical Council of India (MCI), CBSE and Union Health Ministry directed to issue counter affidavits regarding NEET 2017 controversy
  • Candidates hailing from Tamil state alleged, questions in Tamil were easier than that of the English language
  • Non-uniformity in setting the question papers in different languages, a serious cause of concern leading to biased judgements
  • Group 45 parents from Gujarat filed petition in Gujarat High court alleging question paper in English was easier than that in Gujarati

MAY 25, 2017

  • Supreme Court denied to cancel the NEET 2017 examination conducted by CBSE in connection with controversies

  • Gujarat HC issues notification to CBSE and others which were authority in conducting NEET 2017 this year

June 4,2017

  • New petitons filed in Madras High Court asks NEET 2017 cancellation again

June 6,2017

  • CBSE denies allegations by courts onto it having set easier question papers in some languages
  • CBSE further clarifies different questions were set to avoid leak of the paper in vernacular languages
  • Court remained unimpressed with CBSE’s justifications and says paper leak could happen in English language as well

June 7,2017

  • No result declaration on June 8,2017 as delays expected because of the controversies involved with NEET 2017

Aspirants of medical field and candidates who had appeared for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test in the year 2017 to fetch admissions into MBBS and BDS courses of the medical sciences in the nation’s prestigious medical colleges to launch themselves in a great career opportunities in the same are in an utter state of shock and agony.
