After Revised Code of Conduct, CBSE Updates Eligibility Criteria For NEET 2018 Applicants

CBSE as an efficient and responsible conducting body of the National Eligibility cum Entrance examination i.e. NEET 2018 has carried out major revision this year. Right from changing the examination code of conduct within which the authorities aim to set the same question paper with it being translated into other regional languages like Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali etc. to eligibility condition, CBSE has released a detailed notice for the same online. The applicants of NEET 2018 online application forms are iterated that the education board has notified that students who are taking Class 12th exams from open schools or as private students are debarred from taking the NEET 2018 exam.

Not halting at this, only regular students who have opted for Physics, Chemistry & Biology / Biotechnology are granted the opportunity of taking the prestigious NEET 2018. This implies students who have taken Biology & Biotechnology subjects as additional ones won’t be able to take the test.

NEET 2018 – Here’s What’s Changing in Eligibility Criteria For Candidates

The notification released by Ministry of Human Resource & Development (MHRD) clearly states the aforementioned criteria following which such candidates have been debarred from taking the NEET 2018 exam this year. This move definitely snatches students from their equal rights of learning and opportunities.

More than 2 lac students appear from open boards or as private candidates every year. This approximation has not only yielded a result that refrains such students from their right from taking the medical entrance examination but also for those students who opt for Biology & Bio-technology as their additional subjects in their Class 12th exams. The open school’s exams for Class 12th are also conducted by many state bodies as well, such students now who would not be allowed to take the National Eligibility cum entrance exam.

NEET 2018 exam is scheduled to be held by the CBSE on May 6, 2018 this year on Sunday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. For details about ‘NEET 2018 Notification & Eligibility Criteria’, click here.
