NEET 2018 PG | New List of Seat Allotment Result Announced – Know What’s Happening

MCC has said that the NEET 2018 PG seat allotment list stands null and void

After the NEET 2018 PG result was announced in the last week of January, MCC (Medical Council Committee) came up with a seat allotment list of students. This list of this result for seats allocated after counselling was out on 28th March. Soon after this MCC announced that the NEET 2018 PG seat allotment list stands cancelled declaring the result of seat allotment as null and void.

An official notice was posted about the same on the NEET website and it has now been stated that a new list will be out soon. As per officials, it was some technical glitch that led to the wrong list being updated. The mistake was rectified within minutes and a new list of candidates was out. This new result for seat allotment in PG courses at medical colleges is absolutely valid.

NEET 2018 Seat Allotment 

Students who were awaiting the result of seat allotment under NEET 2018 were unhappy at first as this mistake would further delay the counselling schedule and thereafter the admission process. In the meanwhile, many states have begun the counselling schedule for state quota PG seats in medical colleges.

The cancellation of NEET 2018 first seat allotment has been termed as a big goof up by major media houses. However, MCC has rectified the mistake and new list for NEET 2018 PG counselling was out soon and was published on the official website.

NEET 2018 Counselling process

The candidates have to register and pay the fees for NEET 2018 counselling. They are required to submit the choices of course and college along with fees at the time of registration. Then, the MCC releases the result for First round of seat allotment based on the result of candidates. If the candidate has been allotted a seat in the first round, then they must report to the allotted institute. After this, students are requested to complete Admission formalities. Along with this, they can give willingness for the 2nd round of counselling.

At the time of counselling, the candidates have to bring all documents including Admit Card, Result/Rank Letter issued by NBE, Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS all semesters, MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate, Internship Completion Certificate. Along with these other documents like identity proof, previous educational qualification certificates are also required.

As far as NEET 2018 seat allotment is concerned, it is assumed that all will go according to the new schedule and candidates will soon get admission in their desired colleges as per their result. We wish all candidates appearing for NEET 2018 counselling all the very best.
