More details about NEET and AYUSH
However, the decision of conducting NEET examination for the candidates seeking admission in the AYUSH courses across India is yet to get finalized. The ministry is willing that Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to conduct the examination as it does in the case of MBBS/BDS entrance. But the situation is such that the board itself is on the verge of handing over its duty of conducting NEET and JEE exams to the newly formed National Test Agency on the guidelines of the government of India.
The Board and the ministry are still in the phase of talking with each other and come to the conclusion soon regarding this. As of now, there are over 36000 seats available for the admission in the AYUSH colleges for various UG courses.
