NEET 2018 Online Application Process | Age Limit To Apply Online Restricted For Candidates

Aspirants of the upcoming scheduled National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam are iterated about the ongoing online application procedure of NEET 2018 on the official CBSE link. The admission to undergraduate medical courses are done into top colleges of the nation via the NEET 2018 scores. The aspirants who wish to apply for the NEET 2018 exam this year shall have to ensure their conformity to the eligibility criteria for the test.

The authorities have restricted the age limit of the applicants of the NEET 2018 in its latest issued official notification inviting online application forms from them. Candidates belonging to the unreserved category beyong 25 years of age have been debarred from taking the medical entrance exam. Granting an age relaxation of 5 years to NEET 2018 applicants belonging to reserved category online, the upper age limit for them have been fixed at 30 years.

The restriction imposed on the upper age limit for candidates have interfered with their rights to take the test. For those candidates who wish to take the test beyond a certain age have restricted them to do so forbidding them with their right to education. Many arguments in favour of the NEET 2018 aspirants have come up citing instances from the examinations from the same league.

NEET 2018 | Restriction on Upper Age Limit Invites Protest From Online Applicants

While NEET 2018 serves as a medical admission test with a fixed upper age limit criteria, no such restriction has ever been imposed on aspirants of engineering or other courses. Such a restriction is a clear demarcation of allowing only a certain section of society making them eligible to take the prestigious NEET 2018 exam. Also, this restriction seems flawed in its application only wherein private practitioners of any age are allowed to carry on in Indian subcontinent even if they come from abroad where no such provision has been made.

So, same candidates can spend huge bucks to take admission into foreign University where no restriction is there and come back to India and practice but not allowed to take the NEET 2018 exam. No logical rationale has been found in this argument. A mere age can’t determine a candidate’s inability to take the NEET 2018 as no incompetency in pursuing medical courses have been established via the restriction. Candidates citing aforesaid arguments have now filed a case against the conducting authorities of NEET 2018 demanding justice and rational behind the fixation of upper age limit in eligibility criteria for NEET 2018 exam this year.
