Know the reason behind the decision here of HC to permit MBBS to Non-Medicals

As per reports, the decision has been taken by HC due to the denial of 2 non-medical students for admission in MBBS course despite clearing the NEET Exam. In a case in Rajasthan,  2 non-medical students appeared for the National Eligibility Entrance Test and even cleared it. But during the counselling, their admission got denied stating that they belong to the non-medical background in Class 12 as per the UG Medical Education Regulation.

Moving to the High Court for justice, the duo claimed that although they have not opted for the Medical as a subject in higher secondary but they have cleared the NEET exam for the admission in MBBS course as necessary. The court then permitted the duo for the admission in MBBS course as they have cleared the necessary entrance exam.
