A notification for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Super Speciality (SS) 2018 has been released by the National Board of Examination (NBE). Candidates who are interested in appearing for the test should read the new examination scheme and important dates of paper and its results, here.
NBE has recently released a notification mentioning that the NEET SS 2018 exam will be held online in the first week of July. It also stated that it will be a single day exam with revised exam pattern and other important dates regarding NEET Super Speciality 2018 exam.
NEET SS 2018 examination scheme & exam pattern
Candidates are allowed to opt out for a maximum of two courses for the super speciality in which they hold eligibility via his/ her broad speciality qualification. The NEET SS 2018 examination will comprise 60% of the opted super speciality course while filling up of form by candidates and rest 40% will be from the eligible feeder broad speciality courses.
The examination paper will be divided into Part A and Part B with 40 and 60 number of questions, respectively in each part. To attempt Part A, candidates will be allotted 40 minutes while 60 minutes of time will be given for Part B. Candidates can also club together certain Super Speciality courses, especially with less number of seats. The availability of seats in each course can be checked out by referring to the MCI along with the requirement for it while filling up the application form.
Important dates for NEET SS 2018 exam and results
NBE has released a list of important dates right from filling up the application form of NEET SS 2018 to its results. The application forms were made available to candidates from the second week of April this year while May third week is set as the deadline its submission. Soon after it will be followed by the release of admit card/ hall ticket while the online exam will be scheduled in the first week of July 2018.
It is expected that by the third week of July, NBE will announce the results of NEET SS 2018. The results for each NEET SS course and for the clubbed group will be announced via separate merit list without any percentile calculation or any equating.
