The Ford Ecosport facelift now gets an all-new 1.5-litre petrol engine. The engine has been introduced in the Ecosport for the first time and now the Ford subcompact SUV will have two engine options – the existing 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine and the new petrol engine. The new 1.5-litre petrol engine churns out 123 PS and 150 Nm of peak torque. The lighter petrol unit is also expected to deliver better mileage than the outgoing Ford Ecosport.
2017 Ford Ecosport Facelift has a new transmission unit
In addition to the new 1.5-litre petrol engine, the new Ford Ecosport facelift will get a new automatic transmission unit as well. It has been reported that the new Ecosport gets a six-speed torque convertor automatic unit as transmission option. The new Ecosport will also facilitate driving safety features such as Paddle Shift and Hill Launch Assist. Claimed as first-in-the-segment, the features are bound to make driving more comfortable.
