New Broadband – Jio GigaFiber and Tata Sky to Take on Existing Ones | All You Need To Know

Last week, Reliance Jio started the registrations for the most awaited Jio GigaFiber. The registration has started and the users will first get the Jio GigaFiber Preview Offer. This is exactly the same preview Offer which was rolled out by the company at the time of launch of Jio sim card in 2016.

Now the Tata Sky – The DTH Service Provider also jumped into the broadband service in India and rolled out the Tata Sky broadband plans for its users. The services of Jio GigaFiber are yet to roll out but in the meantime, several other broadband service providers are rolling out various offers to compete with Jio GigaFiber and the same is also started by the Tata Sky. Here are the things you need to know about the Jio GigaFiber and Tata Sky Broadband.

Tata Sky Broadband Plans and Details

Tata Sky rolled out its broadband services in 12 cities. The cities which will experience the broadband of Tata Sky are – Thane, Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Pune, Noida, Bengaluru, Mira Bhayandar, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Bhopal. Interested users can also check the availability of the Tata Sky Broadband in their cities on the official website of Tata Sky.

The DTH Service provider has launched the monthly plans, 3-month broadband plan, 5 months, nine months and 12 months broadband plans. The plans started from Rs.999 that offers unlimited data. The unlimited data plans of Tata Sky broadband are the Rs.999 plan, Rs.1150 plan, Rs.1500 plan, Rs.1800 plan, Rs.2500 plan. These plans are unlimited but offer various speed. With a new connection, users will get free WiFi router but will have to pay Rs.1200 as installation charges.

Jio GigaFiber Plans & Details

Talking about the Reliance Jio Giga Fiber plan, in the preview offer, users will get total 300GB data for 90 days. For each month there will be 100GB data with the speed of 100 MBPS. Under the preview offer of Jio GigaFiber, buyers will also get complimentary access to Jio Premium Apps. In any case, if the 100GB data of the quota will over, then users can also enjoy the data by performing a complementary data top up which will give 40GB data.

According to the Jio official website, there will be no installation charges for the connection but customers will have to pay Rs.4500 as the security deposit for the ONT device. The amount can be paid via credit card, debit card or via Jio Money or Paytm. The security deposit is refundable. There are no details regarding the plans yet.
