The new Ford EcoSport 2017 is all set to be revealed on October 28 in India. It is reported that the new Ford EcoSport 2017 which is expected to be revealed on October 28 will carry host of cosmetic changes and new features and is slated to go on sale after the launch in India. It is being speculated that the new Ford EcoSport facelift 2017 will go on sale in India by end of this year.
US-spec model and the India-spec model of the new 2017 Ford EcoSport to carry similar features
The new 2017 Ford EcoSport which is all set to be revealed in India on October 29 is expected to carry cosmetic as well as mechanical updates. The new 2017 facelift of Ford EcoSport will carry new features in terms of styling, design and enhanced entertainment and safety features. The new 2017 Ford EcoSport had been in news since its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year.
As per the report, the new 2017 Ford EcoSport which is going to be revealed in India on October 29 is almost identical to the Ford EcoSport that was showcased at the auto show at LA. Both, the US-spec model and the India-spec model are expected to carry numerous similarities.
Changes in the new 2017 Ford EcoSport Facelift
As per the report, the new Ford EcoSport 2017 will get numerous changes on the interior as well as on the exterior. The new Ford EcoSport 2017 is likely to get a revised front grille, new muscular front bumper, a redesigned set of headlamps that will come merged with projector lights as well as LED DRLs (Daytime running lamps).
The new EcoSport will also carry larger angular foglamps that have been housed in the new bumper. The new Ford EcoSport is also expected to get underbody plastic cladding that will enhance the SUV nature of the Ford EcoSport. The new Ford EcoSport facelift gets a fresher rear appearance. The SUV gets modified tail lamps, a new beefy cover for the tailgate-mounted stepney, roof-mounted spoiler and new plastic cladded bumper. The new EcoSport is expected to get a 17-inch stylish set of alloy wheels as an option.
New Ford EcoSport to have a new engine under the hood
Reports are that the new Ford EcoSport 2017 is likely to get an all-new 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine. Ford’s EcoSport will continue to carry the existing 1.5-litre diesel engine which produces 99 bhp but the new petrol engine will surely be an added option for the consumers. The new 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine is expected to produce 120 bhp and torque of 150 Nm.
Both the engines are likely to come mated to 5-speed manual gearbox as standard though there will be an option of a 6-speed automatic transmission which will be offered in the new petrol engine.
