New Hyundai Santro (2018 Facelift) Model Spotted in India – Check Features & Price

One of the top-selling hatchbacks from Hyundai – The Santro is all set to make a comeback. Yes, as per the report, an all-new Hyundai Santro is scheduled to be unveiled in India soon. It has been reported that the all-new Hyundai Santro is expected to be launched around mid-2018. The new Hyundai Santro is likely to compete with the likes of Tata Tiago, Renault Kwid, Maruti Celerio as well as the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.

All-new Hyundai Santro spotted in India, to make a comeback next year

As per the report, a partially veiled test mule of the all-new Hyundai Santro which is expected to be launched in India next year, was spotted testing in India recently. The Hyundai Santro, which was one of the most selling hatchbacks in the country, was officially discontinued in the country in 2014. Since the hatchback segment is gradually growing, the automaker is gearing up to breathe life into the discontinued model with an all-new car.

It is being speculated that the carmaker is likely to unveil the all-new 2018 Hyundai Santro at the Delhi Auto Expo 2018 and the car may go on sale within few months of the official launch. The image that claims the camouflaged test mule to be the new Hyundai Santro is one of the near-production images of the vehicle and is expected to be unveiled in India next year. Upon launch, the all-new Hyundai Santro will take on the existing market leaders such as the Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Renault Kwid which are one of the 10 top-selling cars in India and the newly launched Tata Tiago as well.

Specifications of the all-new 2018 Hyundai Santro

The pictures reveal that the all-new 2018 Hyundai Santro look a lot like the Hyundai Grand i10. It is being speculated that the new Santro could borrow few design and styling cues from the existing best-seller. With larger window panes the new car showcases its characteristic tall boy stance. It is also expected that the new Santro may get larger cabin space. It has not been officially announced but rumors are that the automaker might launch the new four-wheeler wither with a 0.8-litre engine or a 1.0-litre engine options. The new Santro may give a miss to the automatic transmission variant initially but it will come mated to a 5-Speed Manual Transmission. The new Hyundai Santro may be launched at an introductory starting price of Rs 3.40 to 3.50 lakh.
