Land Rover has launched the fifth generation Discovery in India with prices starting from Rs. 71.38 lakhs (ex-showroom).With the launch of two variants of the Land Rover cars with different powertrain options, the 258PS, 3.0-litre diesel, and 340PS, 3.0-litre petrol, the Land Rover Discovery is said to be the most versatile SUV ever.
According to a press statement released by Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), the all-new 7-seater car by Land Rover, known as Land Rover Discovery, stands out from its competitors due to its design appeal, advanced features, and intelligent versatility.
Features and Specifications of the Land Rover Discovery
The spacious interior claims to be spacious tagged with various clever details to fit in 7 adults. The all-new Discovery features the world’s first intelligent Seat Fold system which enables people to adjust the seat arrangement according to their needs. This enables the car owners to have a copious luggage space when required. With options to have over nine USB ports attached at a time, the Land Rover Discovery comes with an Activity key which is defined as a durable, waterproof water and which carries the capability of locking and unlocking the vehicle allowing various outdoor activities without carrying the actual car keys.
With several other features like Park Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Condition Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist and others amongst the long list of advanced features, the Land Rover Discovery is the best SUV in the premium luxury segment.
The Terrain Response 2 is also an option for the users who want to make use of the various advanced features with various terrain assisting features including the Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, and Gradient Release Control.
The Land Rover Discovery also has the All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) technology which enables the users to control over challenging surfaces making it a secure ride. The launch Control in the technology enables smooth and easy pull away on surfaces with ice, sand and wet grass and has the ability to maintain a constant speed between 1.8 kmph and 30kmph while the Land Rover Discovery is made to run on the challenging surfaces.
