New Mahindra XUV 500 Facelift 2018 Looks Way More Mature | Know What Has Changed

With the tall vertical tail lamps replaced by the wrap around lights, the Mahindra XUV 500 does manage to look a lot more premium

Mahindra XUV 500 launch is just around the corner and the company has tried to maintain the mystery around the car for a long time. Well luck seems to have run out as the car was spotted in full flesh with no camouflage and the pictures of the same have been circulating all around the web. Mahindra has been pretty busy this year as they are launching two major products soon including the XUV 500 and the Ssangyong Rexton which is coming with a Mahindra badge. Another set of rumors claim that the Ertiga challenger MPV will also see the light of the day sometime later this year. Mahindra XUV 500 is slated to for a launch in April which is just days from now.

Mahindra XUV 500 IS Now More Mature Than The Outgoing Model

The latest spy shots of the Mahindra XUV 500 Facelift reveal an updated design that looks more sophisticated than the car it replaces. Don’t read between the lines though. It is still pretty much a car with a loud design that just grabs your attention whether you like it or not that remains a different story.

Mahindra has redesigned the bumpers of the XUV 500 which now house an air dam that connects flawlessly with the front grille. The headlamps too have been redesigned but it will take a second look to notice the changes. The sides of the Mahindra XUV 500 now lit up with new alloy wheels which suit the size of the butch SUV.

However, it is the back where the changes are more prominent. Mahindra has replaced the long vertical tail lamps on the XUV 500 with wrap around lights which are definitely more appealing. Perhaps the company has taken some design cues from the Ssangyong counterparts. Mahindra XUV 500 2018 Facelift is also expected to get a plusher cabin with use of soft touch plastics and an infotainment system better than the current car.

New Mahindra XUV 500 Price India

There has been no word from the company when it comes to pricing but if we were to speculate then the Mahindra XUV 500 Price in India will remain largely the same. Maybe there will be a premium of 30-40 thousand but with the added features that seems justified.

Although the XUV 500 will no longer be the Mahindra flagship product since the Rexton too is coming to sit on top of the company’s portfolio this year.
