New Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Likely To Be Unveiled On April 19 | Know Details

Maruti Ertiga will hopefully retain its value for money tag in the Indian car market

Maruti Ertiga might not have the street presence like that of a big massive SUV but has definitely been a constant seller for the company. It also remains to be one of the most popular models in Indonesia and from what we hear the car is all set to make a debut there sometime between April 19 – April 29. The Indonesia International Motor Show is scheduled on these dates where the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga too might make an appearance. The car has been spied testing on Indian roads time and again and if the rumors are to be believed then the launch might happen anytime before this festive season around August. The camouflaged Maruti Ertiga seems to have grown in size this time around.

Maruti Ertiga To Get Major Restyling

Like we mentioned, the Maruti Ertiga might not be a great looker but certainly makes up for it in terms of value. This has made it a big hit with the Indian car buyer who is looking for a reliable seven seater MPV. Another thing that seems to have worked for the car is the change in the prices of the Innova. With the Crysta facelift, the Innova no longer competes with the Maruti Ertiga which was honestly its only competition.

However, with the 2018 Facelift of the Maruti Ertiga, Suzuki is attempting to make the MPV appeal to a wider set of audience by giving it tough design elements reminiscing of bigger crossovers. There are also rumors of the new in-house 1.5-litre diesel engine making its debut in the car but nothing has been confirmed as of now.

2018 Maruti Ertiga Price in India and Launch Date

The price of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been its biggest USP and we doubt that it is going anywhere. Expect the prices to be largely the same however a premium of 50,000-60,000 Rupees cannot be ruled out either. Although, with added features like a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto along with better security features and design cues we strongly feel the Maruti Ertiga will retain the value for money tag in the Indian car market.
