Country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is all set to bring in 3 new updated next-generation products in the Indian market which are likely to be launched in India in 2018. While most of the car enthusiasts are curiously waiting for the next generation Swift to be unveiled at the upcoming Auto Expo, here is the list of vehicles that are going to launch this year from the Maruti Suzuki stable.
The carmaker is planning to launch the next generation of its existing cars. While the next generation Swift is already in news, there are reports that suggest that the carmaker will launch all-new models of the existing cars in the auto market this year.
It has been reported that Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. will launch three new next-generation models this year in India. The automaker will launch the all-new Swift in the coming month, followed by the launch of all-new WagonR and all-new Ertiga in the coming months.
2018 all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift
The all-new Swift is going to be the first car in the lineup which is going to unveiled by the car manufacturer at the upcoming auto expo. Based on the HEARTECT platform, the next generation Swift is one of the most anticipated cars in the country that most of the car enthusiasts are anxiously waiting for.
The next generation Swift will be lighter, stronger and more efficient than the current model. The hot-selling hatchback will continue to get the existing engines in the petrol as well as diesel variants but mechanically, the new model might offer AMT options on both the engines in addition to the manual option.
All-new Maruti Suzuki WagonR
According to the report, since the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R has not seen any major change in the past few years, there is a chance that the automaker might introduce a next-generation Wagon R in the Indian auto market this year. The new model is likely to get cosmetic changes for the new look but will retain the tall-boy form factor.
Similar to the all-new Swift, the Wagon R too will continue to get similar 1-liter K-Series petrol engine that currently powers the existing model. The all-new Wagon R will get the same 5-speed manual in addition to the AMT options. Currently, the Wagon R has different power terrains including – petrol, diesel, LPG and CNG and it will continue to get the same in the all-new model as well.
All-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
Similar to the next generation Swift, the all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will share also HEARTECT platform. It is expected that the Ertiga might share the front-end styling with the hatchback as well.
The 7-seater MPV (Multi-purpose vehicle ) has been seen testing in India several times. The all-new Ertiga is expected to be a little larger and spicier than the outgoing model. as per the report, in addition to the cosmetic changes, the MPV is likely to get 2 brand new engines as well. The petrol and diesel models of the all-new Ertiga is also expected to get manual as well as AMT options.
