Maruti Suzuki seems to be on a facelift launch spree as the company made several launches in 2017. After the successful launch of the all-new S-Cross facelift in India, Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the crossover version of Celerio in India christened as Maruti Celerio X Cross.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited is roaring to roll out the models in its lineup. The carmaker is focusing on introducing the 2017 Swift hatchback India after the launch of the Maruti Celerio X Cross. As per reports, New Maruti Swift is speculated to debut at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo next year. The 2017 Maruti Swift hatchback which may be launched in 2018 is reported to be lighter, safer and more fuel efficient as compared to the current model.
The New Maruti Swift 2017 is expected to carry Suzuki’s popular HEARTECT platform which underpins the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire that was recently launched in India and has topped the list of the most selling cars in the month of August 2017. The all-new Maruti Swift 2017 will continue to be offered in both diesel and petrol versions.
Global launch of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018
The next generation, most-awaited 2017 Suzuki Swift premiered in Japan late last year. Recently, the all-new Maruti Swift made its global appearance at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. With the global debut, the hatchback Maruti Suzuki Swift has moved ahead to its fourth generation internationally. The all-new Maruti Swift boasts all-new character that is poised to take the handling and performance of the hatchback on the sporty side and design to the younger end.
Specifications of the new Maruti Swift 2017
The A-pillar of the new Swift 2017 will accentuate the Swift’s trademark styling. The sleek new sweptback headlamp and incorporated LED DRLs add to the appearance of the new Maruti Swift. The side profile of the new Swift remains distinctly Swift-like but the new generation Swift gets a floating roof.
The rear of the 2017 Maruti Swift has new updated with LED signature taillight. It also carries a carved out boot-lid coupled with an integrated spoiler. What adds to the side profile of the new Swift is the new diamond cut alloy wheels that adds to the classy look of the new Swift which is expected to be launched in India next year.
The cabin too has been updated and more sporty features have been added to the cabin. The refreshed cabin of the new Maruti Swift looks sportier and younger in appeal. The dashboard gets a twin-pod instrument cluster as well as a nice infotainment unit. Attractive touchscreen display graces the central console of the new Maruti Swift. The new Maruti Swift may come with ABS, dual airbags and DRL as a standard fitment across all the new Swift variants.
The company has not yet revealed the powertrains of the new Swift but speculations are that it will offer the new Swift with a choice between its three engines including the 1.0 litre turbocharged BoosterJet petrol engine, an updated 1.2 litre K-Series petrol engine and a 1.3 litre diesel engine.
