Less Than 2 Months After Launch New Renault Captur Already In Works

Renault Captur was launched in India on the 6th of November earlier this year and is the second SUV that the company sells in India currently. The car is based on the same platform as the Duster but has a longer wheelbase with improves space on the inside. However, if reports are to be believed Renault is working on a new Captur titled ‘Bose Edition’.

What is the Renault Captur Bose Edition?

The Renault Captur Bose Edition is essentially the same car that currently sells in India with a couple of tweaks. The car is being jointly developed with Bose which is a high-end American audio brand and has been a pioneer in the Audio industry. The new model will be targeted at Audiophiles and will come with an exclusive sound system by Bose itself.

It should be noted that the new Renault Captur will not only come with Bose sourced Audio system but Bose is expected to work on the insides of the car to make it a studio like experience. Other than that the new Renault will be the same Captur that currently sells in India which comes with a 1.5-litre diesel and 1.5-litre petrol engine. The diesel makes 110BHP/240Nm where as the petrol develops 105BHP/142Nm which is not exactly impressive considering the fact that the car compares against the likes of Hyundai Creta. The Bose Edition of the Renault Captur will however try to appeal to the younger generation with better focus on the sound equipment on board.

Price and Launch Date of the new Renault Captur Bose Edition

The new Bose Edition of the Renault Captur is currently in works and might be unveiled sometime in April next year. The car will expectedly come at a premium over the existing model by around 70,000-1 Lakh Rupees. Apparently, the current model is priced slightly higher than the Duster between 10-14 Lakh in India. The Bose Edition Captur is not the first Renault car developed by the two companies as the Koleos too came with a Bose sound system on board. However, the Renault Koleos has been permanently discontinued in the Indian car market.
