New Year and 7th Pay Commission | Let’s See What Can 50 Lakh CG Employees Expect in 2018

With the end of 2017 and beginning of 2018, 7th Pay commission has been busy struggling for the minimum pay hike for the central government employees. After recommending the minimum pay hike, the government has been delaying the matter month after month. It has already been 18 months since the seventh pay commission has proposed the salary hike for the central government employees.

After the continuous promises, recently the news popped up stating that the government has planned to drop the idea of pay hike completely. This news raised concerns of folks and disappointed nearly 50 Lakh central government employees. Hearing the news, the employee union threatened a strike. This rumor was put down when the news came out that the finance minister of the country, Mr. Arun Jaetley is planning to constitute a new high-level committee to proceed with the 7th Pay commission’s recommendation.

2018 & Minimum Pay Hike Under 7th Pay Commission

We still have no clue what was it the threat of a strike or the genuine concern of the government that moved the FM of the country to decide the formation of the new high-level committee. This claim that Mr. Arun Jaetly is planning to form a high-level committee to proceed further with the 7th Pay commission recommendation was made by many renowned media sources.

The committee to be formed is expected to be formed involving the secretaries of several ministries of the country including Ministry of Home Affairs, Health, pension, posts, and expenditure. This committee will be responsible for the proceedings of the recommendation made by 7th Pay commission regarding minimum pay hike.

High-Level Committee to Handle Seventh Pay Commission Recommendation 

After failing to implement the minimum pay hike, the government has decided to form another high-level committee for the purpose. With the formation of high-level committee employees has found a ray of hope for the implementation of the 7th Pay commission recommendation. Where it has generated hope among the employees waiting for a salary hike, there the news have delayed the decision for at least another 6 months. This new year 2018 might become the lucky year for the central government employees.
