The Film Federation Of India (FFI), has nominated Newton as the official entry to the Oscars 2018 that will happen next year. FFI also confirmed that out of the 26 films, Newton was unanimously selected by the special committee of the FFI chaired by C V Reddy, a Telugu Producer. The movie Netwon has made the entry of the year to the Oscar 2018 in the category of Foreign Language Film, representing Indian cinema.
Rajkumar Rao, who is a National Award-winning actor and has proved his mettle in the superhit movies like Aligarh, Trapped, Queen and many more is the main protagonist in Newton. He plays the lead in Newton opposite Anjali Patil, Pankaj Tripathi and ‘Peepli Live’ actor, Raghubir Yadav.
