SGPC ban Photography and Videography inside Golden Temple boundaries

Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) day before yesterday announced the ban on photography and videography in the premises of Sri Harmandir Sahib. Although none of the officials of SGPC has declared the same on media. As directly the committee put up the notice of the Golden Temple board, that says- Photography and videography strictly prohibited in the premises of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, the spiritual centre of the World.

Although SGPC has not mentioned the reason for such quick decision. As of now, no strict actions have been taken against any devotees regarding the same. It seems the SGPC has taken the decision to maintain the spirituality of the shrine as people visit the same for inner peace and seek blessings from Almighty.

Still few people can click Photos and videos at Golden Temple

A day after the decision, SGPC once again came forward and barred people from the ban. A day after its decision, SGPC relax the ban on photos and video in Golden Temple. According to the new decision, SGPC will now fix few places inside the Golden Temple from where the media person and devotees can click their pictures with the shrine. Even the sewadars will be instructed to look after the same and avoid such happenings.

SGPC has received many complaints regarding the same stating that people have made Golden Temple as picnic spot instead of the holy shrine. So the committee decided to keep up the spirituality high and avoid photo and video inside the Golden Temple.
